Most moms have well equipped kitchens — some with fancy French mandolins, sous vid apparatus, or even a swanky mixer (not me, I don’t bake 🙄.) But here’s the thing.. Even us lesser cooks still love a little re-fresh, right? So here’s a thought: Fill a nice new bowl with some fresh wooden utensils, maybe some pretty new spring linen napkins or upgraded tea towels. A couple gourmet pantry goodies. And then… Boom! 💥 It’s a Mother’s Day win. 😘

It’s been a while since we’ve done a Bacon the dog on West street post. Happy Sunday night everyone. Hope you had an awesome weekend. 💕

About a week ago we did a little live reel in the shop. When you do these things, you never quite know what's going to come out of your mouth. It's unscripted and, well, that's the point. A spring Sunday. Grey-brown mud season here in Vermont. And it feels like a good day to do some spring cleaning and spring swapping. Pillows. Rattan. Pampas grass. I can practically *feel* the sunshine soon to come through the window. ☀️😎

I've been thinking about first jobs, because my sons will be getting them this summer and because, well, I've got a new one. I have a friend whose first job was cleaning a pool at a country club: it was easy but boring, so boring that sometimes they'd throw all the pool chairs in the pool just so they could dive in and pull them out.

What's your best or worst summer job? (And are you hiring? Asking for a friend.)🤣🤣😊😉

See that there? The Daye Octopus? It was one of the first things we sold -- and sold out of. It's awesome but because of the nature of that beast (pun intended), it's been difficult to get more to the shop and online. When I say , I'm not even joking about that, but wow! Out of the blue, we got six more in. We now have two. The universe, man: it operates in strange and awesome ways.
