Friday Drive-By Thank You to all the workers at Bassett, Cobleskill!
5/25/20.........………...…!!
As the nearest neighbors to the Friday 3/6 early a.m. house fire at #285 Bridge Road, my mom (#296) and I (#270) send our heartfelt thanks and admiration to the HVFD firefighters and their backup from other companies who contained that horrific blaze and prevented its spread. I had never been that close to a structural fire and, while it was frightening to watch, I was very impressed by the firefighters’ professionalism, organization, teamwork, and sheer guts. And special thanks to HVFD fireman Albert Porter, who came up to me in my driveway to assure me that my mom’s place next door was okay, the fire trucks I saw in her driveway were only pumping water from her pond. THANK YOU THANK YOU HVFD! YOU ARE ALL AWESOME!!
The HFD pit crew makes the absolute best BBQ chicken in upstate NY! Always hot and juicy to the bone with crispy and smoky skin, just perfect! And they deserve medals for standing over that grill yesterday in 80+ degree heat. THANK YOU ALL!!
Missing dog!!! Our dog ran off a few hours ago please everyone keep an eye out. She is probably scared. She is a black standard poodle. We live on Lawton hollow our number is 607-376-1082
A well deserved meal. Thanks to you special people on the other side of the radio. We can not do what we do without you.
Thanks for the invite, we had a blast. It was a great time with our brothers and sisters. Also some really good eats afterwards . We'll get that jug next year!

If possible, take some time to shovel out your nearest hydrant. The house you save could be your own.

01/11/2022

Use this guide to help us help you if you have a fire hydrant in your yard or near by. As always we will be out clearing hydrants after all significant snow storms this winter.

Always use caution when recreating on ice:
❄️ Make sure you check the thickness in several locations, as ice does not freeze uniformly
❄️ Notify family or friends of your plans
❄️ Dress warmly
❄️ Consider wearing a life jacket
Should someone fall through, immediately call 911.

Please help protect our first responders.

The Massachusetts Move Over Law took effect on March 22, 2009 and requires drivers approaching a stationary emergency or maintenance vehicle with flashing lights to move to the next adjacent lane and slow down, if it is safe to do so. Failure to comply could result in a fine of up to $100.

Let's work to keep our roads safe for everyone.
