Yesterday, our community came together to honor the incredible mothers and mother figures in our community — through cooking, connection, and shared moments.
With 50+ volunteers, we prepared 700 meals in just two hours, each one made with care. In between, we paused to celebrate — sharing roses, photos, and gratitude with the women who mean so much to us.
Grateful to everyone who showed up, including leaders like Senator and Commissioner , and the team at for making it so special. 💕

Some acts of generosity don’t just make an impact — they create a ripple that touches thousands of lives.
Betty’s Kitchen, the home of Mitzvah Kitchen, exists because of the vision and support of Robert & Lisa Katzman — and what began as an idea has grown into something far greater than any one moment.
Today, this space is filled with volunteers of all ages, coming together to cook, give, and care for others in a way that brings dignity and warmth to every meal.
This is more than a kitchen.
It’s a legacy of kindness in action. 💛

A Bat Mitzvah project filled with meaning, community, and a whole lot of love. 💚
Sofia chose to make her Bat Mitzvah project about giving back and spent the day cooking meals for individuals and families in our community who could use a little extra support right now. What a beautiful way to mark such a special milestone — by turning gratitude into action and kindness into impact!
We are so proud to have been part of your Bat Mitzvah journey, Sofia. Thank you for cooking with purpose and leading with such a big heart. ✨
