Back to School - YEAR 22 at Booker T!!! -

Back to School - Year 22!!! As we kick off Year 22 of Team Respect at The Historic Booker T Washington Senior High School, I want to share highlights of Year 21.

Santa in July? South Beach edition?

Mrs. Claus made a good point, regarding my last AI pic. It's not enough to change the color of the suit- fur is not required in Miami! Here's a version that keeps the traditional colors, but adapts for Everglades culture and Zoo Miami.

I loved being Santa for Zoo Miami this year. Thinking of what a true Miami Santa might look like and Gemini came up with this. Just having a little fun at this point...

In this age of Epstein, I'm proud to have been labeled "woke" for affirming the bodily autonomy of a young girl. I was even scolded- yelled at!- by a top Santa for being too "political.". Good memories 😁

Woke Santa is comin’ to town! Kris Kringle goes on yuletide rant after girl refuses to sit on his lap: ‘She’s in control of her body’ A woke Saint Nick praised a young girl for standing up for herself and refusing to sit on his lap for a holiday photo-op.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as Santa with Zoo Miami during Zoo Lights! Tonight (12/23) is my last night and I hope you can see me. The joy of seeing a child's face filled with wonder might only be surpassed by the many parents who thank me for speaking words of power to their children. I've been able to encourage some who tell of bullies, I've hugged children of various abilities, and I've told parents they're doing a great job. I've been blessed to see the next generation of leaders walk by my throne. Who knows how many places will be displaying my picture, as family after family poses with me? I like to think I might somehow be a source of happiness for long after the Christmas season. I had no idea sitting in a chair for 3+ hours a night could be so fulfilling. I've had to tighten up my message, boiling it down to its essence and I'm grateful for the process. If I don't see you before, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! If you've stopped by, please share a favorite memory below. Don't forget - you don't need to feel the pressure to believe in me because I BELIEVE IN YOU!!!

Just had the pleasure of encouraging runners at the Key Biscayne Jingle Bell Jog, put on by Split Second Timing. They were kind enough to gift me with a medal and it reminds of family road trips across this great nation! Check it out, Julie & Becky!!!
