Quick life update...

I've been working on my MBA since October 2024, and while the entire journey has been challenging, these last few months have definitely tested me.

At the same time, I was stepping into a new leadership position with the Orlando Fire Department, filming a new television show, traveling, being a husband and dad, and trying to finish strong in graduate school.

What most people didn't see were the late nights. After spending all day filming in Los Angeles, I'd get back to my hotel room and instead of relaxing, I'd open my laptop and start working on assignments, discussion posts, papers, and reading. There were plenty of nights when I was up far later than I wanted to be, trying to balance deadlines with everything else going on.

There were moments when I questioned why I decided to do all of this at the same time. But growth doesn't usually happen when life is convenient.

Today, I'm proud to say I officially earned my MBA.

This degree represents a lot more than classes and coursework. It represents sacrifice, discipline, late nights, early mornings, and the commitment to keep moving forward even when life gets busy.

Thank you to my family, friends, mentors, coworkers, and everyone who encouraged me along the way.

Now that this chapter is complete, I'm looking forward to getting back to sharing more food, recipes, behind-the-scenes moments, and talking about some exciting projects including

IT’S OFFICIAL.

I’m stepping back into the kitchen arena on 100 Cooks — and this one is BIG.

10 years ago, I announced my shot on MasterChef.
8 years ago, I announced I’d be competing on Food Network Star.

Now the journey continues.

This time I’ll be competing in Food Network’s biggest home cook competition alongside 100 cooks from around the country, hosted by the one and only Terry Crews with judges Nick DiGiovanni and Alex Guarnaschelli.

From the firehouse to national TV, this journey has always been about more than food. It’s about passion, pressure, culture, leadership, and showing people that you can chase big dreams while still serving your community.

Every competition helped shape me for this moment:
Cutthroat Kitchen.
MasterChef.
Food Network Star.
And now… 100 Cooks.

From the NICU to Pre-K graduation… man, time has flown by. Watching EJ grow into this fun, loving little boy who’s always smiling and laughing has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.
Next stop: Kindergarten. 🎓❤️
