Project U-Turn: Sexual Risk Avoidance Education
Contact information, map and directions, contact form, opening hours, services, ratings, photos, videos and announcements from Project U-Turn: Sexual Risk Avoidance Education, Nonprofit Organization, Miami, FL.
Our Mission: Is to reduce teen pregnancy and HIV/AIDS risky behavior among Miami-Dade youth; by inspiring them to envision and value positive futures for themselves.
When a relationship feels unsafe, staying silent can feel easier than saying the wrong thing.
But checking in with compassion, asking questions, and reminding a friend they’re not alone can change everything.
Project U-Turn empowers teens with the skills to communicate, recognize red flags, and look out for one another—before harm happens.

A few weeks ago, students were rocking the new Project U-Turn shirts we designed ✨ Project U-Turn continues to educate high school students on the importance of sexual risk avoidance and building healthy relationships with others. We strive to motivate our students to develop decision-making skills so they can be more successful in their future endeavors through our after-school programs and activities.

Love heals, it never hurts. 💜✨ True love builds you up, supports you, and makes you feel safe. No one deserves to be hurt in the name of love. This , let’s spread awareness and remind each other that love shouldn’t hurt. Speak up, stand strong, and know your worth. ❤️

In Project U-Turn’s “Love Tank Activity,” they help students understand their love language and how they prefer to receive love from others.💛
One student is selected to wear the “LOVE TANK” T-shirt. Then, our staff distributes 5-6 balloons to other students in the classroom, who write Words of Affirmation on each balloon and give them to the t-shirt-wearing student (Words of Affirmation is one of the love languages).🫂
The object of this illustration is to show that when you’re loved well, your love tank is full, AND people take notice. No one can hide it when their heart is full!😁

Mindfulness is one of the most overlooked powerful tools in our lives. Mindfulness is simply being aware of your body, mind, and feelings in the current moment and accepting your reality for what it is without judgement.🫂💛
Maybe it’s the perceived simplicity of the concept that makes people dismiss its value. However, research shows that practicing simple mindful behaviors daily can result in long term mental and physical benefits.🙌🏼
Do you practice mindfulness?
