They discussed how South Florida has sustained its position as a red hot market while addressing pressing issues such as affordability, private and public school infrastructure, and climate change.

🏡 In a recent article by , Argentina recently took a bold step by eliminating rent control. Housing supply in Buenos Aires increased by 170%, and rents dropped by 40%. While rent control can create winners and losers, Argentina’s decision has revitalized the market, making housing more available and affordable.

Could a similar approach work in NYC? Ending rent stabilization could lead to improved building maintenance, increased competition, and more housing options. However, transitioning would require lifting restrictive zoning laws, overhauling wage restrictions, and reforming housing court processes to ensure fair and efficient resolutions.

Here's a quick rundown:

- The latest measure clarifies that Live Local projects can be 150 percent of the “highest currently allowed” FAR in the county or city where they are being built.
- Projects near transit or a garage will see reduced parking requirements.
-Buildings surrounded by single-family homes have different height caps.
