This week, we celebrated a $100,000 grant from the Moss Foundation supporting Barry University’s EMS Academy, Fire Academy, and Emergency Management programs.

This investment will provide students with enhanced training resources and hands-on experiences as they prepare to become the next generation of first responders serving our communities.

Commencement season has come to a close. Watching the Class of 2026 cross the stage was a powerful reminder of the dedication, resilience, and growth that define the Barry experience.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026. Your achievement is well earned, and we look forward to all that you will accomplish in the years ahead.

Our 2026 commencement season concluded with an inspiring address from Judge Carly S. Wish at the Andreas School of Law commencement ceremony in Orlando.

A proud Barry Law alumna whose career began at the Barry Legal Clinic, Judge Wish exemplifies the impact of service, advocacy, and dedication to the law. We are grateful for her thoughtful remarks and the example she continues to set for our graduates.

We were honored to welcome Dr. Nelson Adams as a commencement speaker at the ceremony for the College of Health Professions and Medical Sciences at Barry University.

Dr. Adams’ lifelong commitment to advancing healthcare equity, serving vulnerable communities, and leading with compassion reflects the very values we strive to instill in our graduates. His message reminded the Class of 2026 that meaningful leadership begins with service to others.

I recently had the opportunity to join Adam Mendler on Leadership Today for a conversation on leadership, higher education, and the experiences that shape how we lead and serve others.

We spoke about the importance of curiosity, emotional intelligence, and the discipline of preparation as foundational elements of effective leadership. These are principles that continue to guide my work at Barry University as we focus on building a community centered on purpose, growth, and impact.
