Teaching strength + the art of becoming more capable. Ambition • Standards • A life well lived.

A stronger tomorrow isn’t built in one dramatic moment.
It’s built in the ordinary choices we make today—the workout we finish, the promise we keep to ourselves, the thing we learn, the boundary we hold, the work we do when no one is watching.
I’m not interested in becoming younger.
I’m interested in becoming stronger, more capable, more curious, and more alive with every year I get.
Today counts. 🤍

I’m not trying to fit my life into one box.
I’m a wife. A mother. A cat mom. An athlete. An entrepreneur. A food lover. A student. A teacher. And someone with a very real dream of living a capable epic life.
I love contradictions, too.
Soft + strong.
Private + ambitious.
Traditional + rebellious.
Homebody + explorer.
Athlete + executive.
Structure + a little chaos.
And I'm still building.
I'm training, learning, experimenting, chasing big goals, changing my mind, making mistakes and figuring out what I want the next chapters of my life to look like.
Somewhere along the way, fitness stopped being about simply being fit.
I started thinking about capacity.
I want the strength to carry things.
The endurance to explore.
The energy to be present with the people I love.
The freedom to travel.
The resilience to handle hard seasons.
And a body capable of supporting everything else I still want to do.
Because I don't believe life has to get smaller as we get older.
I want mine to get fuller.
That's what you'll find here: training, food, business, family, cats, travel, restaurants, personal style, big goals, occasional failures—and probably a fair amount of overthinking.
I'm Shauna. Welcome to my world. 💙
Let's see what we're capable of.

If you’re new here, start here. 🤍
I’m Shauna Strand—and I’m interested in something much bigger than simply being “fit.”
I want to know what it takes to build a life where we remain strong, capable, curious and fully engaged as the years move forward.
Yes, we’ll talk about training, nutrition and taking care of our bodies.
But we’ll also talk about mindset, faith, family, relationships, business, food, travel, hospitality, big goals—and actually enjoying the life we're working so hard to build.
Because I don't believe the goal is to chase youth.
The goal is capacity.
The capacity to move.
To carry.
To explore.
To work.
To create.
To love.
To experience.
To take on something difficult.
And to keep participating fully in your own life.
I'm building this alongside you—learning, testing, growing and occasionally changing my mind when the evidence tells me to.
This is The Strand Life.
People. Progress. Real life.
And the pursuit of becoming capable of more.
Welcome. 💙

Don't reduce health to weight or appearance.
Ask what your body can actually do.
Which capacity would you most like to improve?
09/27/2026
Looking strong can be a goal. Being strong enough for your life is another.
Save this for the days you forget why you train.
