ATL… this one right here personal. šŸ”„

Growing up in the city, I remember folks ridin’ through Atlanta in them Chevy Caprices, old schools sittin’ clean, bass knockin’, windows down, everybody outside catchin’ a vibe. That culture raised us.

So I wanted to bring that feeling back — but this time with Kingdom energy.

ā€œHoly Spirit Ridinā€™ā€ dropping Monday.
Southern trap vibes mixed with faith, testimony, and that real Atlanta ride-out music. This for the ones that still love them late-night rides down 285 with the music loud and God leading the way.

We putting Jesus in the streets, in the speakers, and in the culture.

ROLLING LOUD, CHRISTIAN HIP-HOP & THE BIGGER CONVERSATION
Written By DJ Network

Everybody talking about the Christian Hip-Hop set that happened at Rolling Loud Orlando. Some people saying it wasn’t good. Some people saying the performances didn’t connect. Some people saying Christian Hip-Hop still got a long way to go before it can stand next to mainstream hip-hop festivals.

But honestly… I think a lot of people are missing the bigger picture.

First off, let’s acknowledge something important — Christian artists were on one of the biggest hip-hop festival stages in the world screaming the name of Jesus. That alone is history.

A few years ago, people would’ve laughed at the idea of Christian Hip-Hop even having a segment at Rolling Loud. Now we got artists stepping onto those stages representing God in front of thousands of people. That matters whether people liked the set or not.

Now was the performance perfect? Maybe not.

But here’s the real question:
How can we expect these artists to become major festival-level artists if we don’t help build the culture behind them first?

Everybody wants Christian artists to look polished on big stages, but we ignore the DJs spinning their records every week. We ignore the independent podcasts interviewing these artists. We ignore the blogs, the radio stations, the playlist curators, and the media platforms grinding every day trying to push this culture forward.

The smaller platforms matter.

The independent Christian DJs matter.

The podcast shows matter.

The local showcases matter.

The internet radio stations matter.

Kingdom Grind Radio matters.

This is the foundation.

Mainstream hip-hop became powerful because the culture supported itself first. DJs broke records in clubs. Mixtapes circulated through the streets. Independent media platforms created conversations around artists before the world caught on.

Christian Hip-Hop has to do the same thing.

We can’t wait for mainstream platforms to validate Christian artists while we don’t even support our own media outlets. Some people won’t repost a Christian DJ flyer but will repost a major festival lineup in five seconds. That mentality has to change if we really want growth.

The artists need development.
The DJs need support.
The radio stations need support.
The podcasts need support.
The media outlets need support.
The producers need support.
The culture needs support.

And honestly, I respect Rolling Loud for even opening the door. Whether people thought the set was amazing or not, the fact that Christian Hip-Hop entered that space created conversation. And conversation creates opportunity.

This moment should not divide the culture.
This moment should challenge us to build harder.

Instead of saying:
ā€œThat set was trash.ā€

Maybe we should ask:
ā€œHow do we help make the next one bigger and better?ā€

That’s the real conversation.
