In this video, I’m breaking down my cinematic color grading workflow in DaVinci Resolve and showing how I use color to create mood, depth, and a stronger visual story. We often focus on the technical side of video editing, but the real magic happens when your grade matches the emotion of the scene.
Whether you’re shooting on LUMIX or any other camera system, these cinematic storytelling principles can help you turn ordinary footage into something that feels intentional, immersive, and artistic.
In this video, we cover:
• How color creates emotion
• Building a cinematic mood
• Using grading to support visual storytelling
• Filmmaking tips for more expressive footage

I came to South Africa to capture beauty — the mountains, the vineyards, the clouds, and those quiet moments you think should feel perfect.
But even in a place that peaceful, I still felt that little itch of anxiety.
And it made me wonder…
What if anxiety isn’t always the enemy?
What if sometimes it’s trying to tell us something we’ve been ignoring?
Maybe peace doesn’t begin when anxiety disappears.
Maybe peace begins when we finally stop lying to ourselves.

Don’t worry about anxiety. It might be trying to bring you back to yourself.
Cape Town has a way of making you stop and remember what matters.
Beneath the clouds, the mountains, and the wide-open sky, we’re reminded that life was never meant to be rushed, performed, or perfected.
We’re just human.

A quiet moment in Brazil that changed how I see everything.
Most moments don’t last.
That’s what makes them matter.
