On Sunday, September 14th, Rotary Club of Pinecrest organized a cleanup at Matheson Hammock. Over 40 volunteers participated and retrieved 180 lbs from the mangroves. This was part of the Repair the Sea program.

For Earth Day the Rotary Club of Deerfield Beach hosted a Sea Lab Garden Event at the City of Deerfield Beach Teen Center, where students celebrated the garden with the official NWF certification. The Rotary team was present to support the efforts. Our students worked hard preparing the garden, helping with the event, and sharing their efforts with city officials.

On Feb.8th a group of volunteers from Rotary Clubs, the Aviator Interact Club and several others, planted over 1000 trees, shrubs and pollinator bushes at Arcola Senior Center.

Last night, the College Assistance Program (CAP) advisor from Miami Palmetto Senior High School and three students attended our meeting to explain to our Club (Rotary Club of Pinecrest) the activities of Volunteering Miami and to explore how we may collaborate in the the future. It was a pleasure to meet these young adults and showed us that the future of our country is GREAT!
