Check out one of our recent grants in action! NYT Best Selling author, Susan Verde, visited virtually with all of our 2nd graders to talk about her writing process and share the importance of mindfulness, respect, compassion, and community. Susan incorporated yoga and mindfulness into her visit, read some of her books, and our students had a chance to ask her questions. What an incredible experience! ✨

For our ninth grant of the school year, we were thrilled to fund an inspiring virtual visit from New York Times best selling author, Susan Verde, for all 2nd graders on Tuesday! Susan introduced herself, shared her book writing process, taught about the importance of respect, compassion, mindfulness, and community while incorporating hands-on mindfulness, breathing, and yoga. Then, Susan read a few of her books and answered some student questions. It was an awesome experience from start to finish! Thanks to Ms. Spring for dreaming up this idea and Dr. Costanza for supporting it! ✍️📚

For our eighth grant of the school year, we are excited to provide the 5th grade math teachers and the 3-5 RTI team with vertical and portable whiteboards so they can implement Building Thinking Classrooms practices into their teaching next year. Students will have increased opportunities to collaborate, engage in problem-solving, and actively share their thinking in a dynamic and visible way. Thank you to Ms. Meyer, Ms. Cecchine, and Dr. Vorensky for coming up with this idea and Dr. Costanza for supporting it at the “New Campbell!” We can’t wait to see these whiteboards in action next year! ➕➖✖️➗

Hear directly from Mrs. Hsu and Ms. Ashley about the grant they just received for the new Zen Den at Campbell! 👏

For our seventh grant of the school year, we are pleased to support the creation of a Zen Den for the “New Campbell”. This Zen Den will provide students in grades 3 - 5 with a designated calming space where they can take short, structured breaks to regulate their emotions, practice coping strategies, and reset before returning to their classrooms. We know that students learn best when their emotional and sensory needs are met and that this Zen Den will be a wonderful tool to support overall student well-being and academic success. Thank you to Mrs. Erica Hsu and Ms. Ashley Burns for dreaming up this idea and Principal Costanza for supporting it! 💡

🎶🔊Thank you for Turning Up the Volume with us! 🔊🎶 We are continually blown away by the generosity of our community. In less than a month, our community raised the funds needed to replace the aging sound system in the MHS auditorium. This summer, a new digital sound system will be installed, enhancing concerts, musicals, assemblies, special events, and community gatherings for years to come!
