I wanted to post this after recently seeing a couple of comments about Rescues always doing fund raisers. Most of our funding comes from fund raisers. Most small rescues, like mine, often pay out of pocket for a lot of the expense that goes along with running a rescue. We try to support our fosters with food, medical care, etc as well as supporting the pets most of us have on site. I currently have several dogs here and their food bill alone is $125 a week. We also have the expense of heart worm prevention as well as flea and tick meds along with annual immunizations. While there are fund raisers for some of the dogs in kill shelters most of that is used in vetting the dog prior to it being picked up by the foster or the rescue. So please it you can make a tax deductible donation please do. If you'd prefer donating food or meds please reach out to the rescue I'm sure they'd welcome the support. As always please adopt, foster, donate, or volunteer everyone can do something.
