It boasts a dialed-down dose of the salty, mineral-driven tension you’d expect from the Santa Cruz Mountains, with loads of spice, broken rocks, oily lemon peel, chalk and just-ripe orchard fruit. A touch of forgivable heat pokes its head up at the close.
