In Which I Finally Need a Standing Desk

Several years ago, when my wife and I bought our first house, my wife found someone locally who custom made a desk for me. It's made out of 2x4's, 2x6's and some simple joinery. While having our family pictures done I couldn't help but indulge in getting a few shots myself. Gorgeous sunset and an empty road.

One of the coolest things to see in the southwest are wild horses. The only groups that I know of are in the west desert in Utah and the Salt River wind horses here in Arizona. I’m very far from a wildlife photographer, but when the occasion presents itself, I can’t resist making photographs when I see them. These horses add purpose and life to the scenery. The view from half way up treasure loop trail in lost Dutchman state park is worth it. This is a shot at sunset from up there about a week ago.

I hiked up around the Superstition Mountains again this weekend. This time, instead of pointing my lens at the mountain, I decided to look the other direction. What a wonderful view I was rewarded with. So glad I went at sunset. I’ve got a few more photos to follow so stay tuned.

I took a crack at photographing the Superstition Mountains for the first time in four years. While I wish there were more clouds for a better sunset, you can’t really complain about this view.

Always on the lookout for patterns and lines. There’s a chance you can find something cool.
