My is getting further! I think this might actually be a male, and his mate will be flying to him. Anyway, I'm really happy with how this is going, gotta keep putting on the feathers and then get him ready for his new home!

The is getting closer to taking flight! Her wings are on, her eyes are in, her face is scaled, and look at that tail!

Well, her cage is a little small but she's on her way. She is all sanded and her wings are temporarily placed just to get an idea of what I'm working with. After this I have to smooth her and fill some cracks, then eyes and feathers. What color do you think she should be?

Got the initial carve for my basilisk (almost) done. Just have to make the wings, then it's on to sanding and detailing, then add the eyes and feathers. Yay!

Carving of the great Cthulhu is done. You can see that I use a Linozip pull style gouge; it's much easier on my arthritic hands than the push kind (and a bit safer for a women who has repeatedly stabbed herself on accident).
