Many taxpayers are seeing less of a refund this year and even owing with their returns. This has been my experience this tax season from the many income tax returns prepared to date. Despite this taxpayers are seeing their tax liability cut or staying in line with the prior years tax liability even though they are losing personal exemptions and being capped in their SALT deductions to 10,000. The problem is the new withholding tables are inadequate. I encourage you to speak to your tax professional about what can you can do to mitigate this problem.
