Memories that will last forever!

Today was one of those full-circle moments I didn't realize would hit me so hard.

As a kid, I remember visiting the Gum Wall in Seattle and thinking it was the coolest thing ever. Years later, standing in the exact same place with my own boys, I found myself seeing it through their eyes. The excitement, the curiosity, the laughter over something so simple.

It's funny how places change over time, but somehow the memories attached to them don't. Walking those same streets, remembering being the child and now being the mom, made me realize just how quickly the years pass. One minute you're sticking gum on the wall with your parents, and the next you're helping your own kids find the perfect spot for theirs.

These are the moments I wish I could bottle up forever, the little traditions, the unexpected nostalgia, and the realization that someday they'll be telling their own kids about the time they visited the Gum Wall in Seattle.

Seattle, thanks for the memories... both old and new.

Like we were somewhere else.
Just us, the city lights, and a love that felt a little like Paris.

West Coast dreams, Concrete walls, urban jungle, city silenced with this picture perfect memory. Dancing in the streets, wandering the city hand in hand. Like they had no where to be but right where they were at.

Time is a thief and no one knows that better than a mom.

Six strings.
Senior year flying by too fast.
And a mom trying not to cry through every song.

This sweet scene deserved it's own post.

To all those loved ones and friends out there, check on the moms of graduating classes. We are not okay!

I feel the lyrics of stick season so hard: "And I'm split in half, but that'll have to do."

Being a mom is cheering so loudly for the incredible young man your son is becoming… and the other part is being quietly heartbroken that these moments went by so fast.

How can a mama feel so proud and so shattered all at once? Graduation is beautiful… but nobody warns you how much it hurts too.

It's always such an honor and privilege to be able to take team photos for surf. Check out the progression of the tripping foul on my son. He's one strong kid!
