What if one simple change to your diet could help you feel younger from the inside out? 🌱

A recent study from the University of Sydney found that older adults who reduced fat intake or shifted toward a more plant based diet for just four weeks showed signs of a younger biological age.

While there’s no magic food or quick fix, research continues to show that what we eat has a powerful impact on how we age, feel, and function.

At FMI, we view food as more than fuel... it’s information. The choices you make every day can influence inflammation, metabolism, hormone balance, and even the way your genes are expressed.

The good news? You don’t have to overhaul your entire life overnight. Small, intentional changes can lead to meaningful improvements in your health over time.

Your next meal is an opportunity to support your future self. 💙

Throwback to Episode 76 🎧 of the FMI Podcast featuring host Amber Warren, PA-C, as she breaks down one of the most important conversations in women’s health: the drop in estrogen and what it really means for the body.

In this episode, Amber explores how estrogen impacts far more than just menopause symptoms, playing a critical role in brain health, memory, mood, metabolism, cardiovascular health, and bone density. She breaks down how the sudden shift in estrogen during perimenopause and menopause can influence everything from energy and body composition to long-term disease risk.

This conversation also dives into the evolving research around hormone replacement therapy and why estrogen is increasingly being discussed as a key part of preventative care, not just symptom management.

If you’ve ever wondered what’s really happening hormonally during this stage of life, this episode helps connect the science in a clear and practical way.

Your brain may be speaking long before symptoms appear. 🧠

New research is showing that subtle speech patterns, like frequent pauses, trouble finding words, or fillers such as “um” and “uh”, may actually reflect changes in executive function and overall brain health.

Executive function is what helps us focus, plan, remember information, make decisions, and manage daily tasks. And according to emerging research, the way we naturally communicate may offer important clues about how well these systems are functioning behind the scenes.

At FMI, we believe the body is always communicating with us. Sometimes the smallest signs can offer the biggest insight.

The good news? Brain health is something we can actively support through:
✨ Quality sleep
✨ Stress management
✨ Nutrient-dense foods
✨ Regular movement
✨ Meaningful connection

Early awareness creates opportunity, and small changes today can protect your future tomorrow.

“One of the biggest misconceptions about autism is that it’s purely genetic.” 🧠

In this week’s episode of the FMI Podcast, Amber Warren, PA-C, and Dr. Brian Hauser dive into the growing research showing that autism may be influenced by much more than genetics alone.

They explore how environmental exposures, gut health, inflammation, toxins, nutrition, mitochondrial function, and even preconception health may all play a role in neurodevelopment.

And while that conversation can feel overwhelming at first… it’s also incredibly hopeful. 💛

Because if there are modifiable factors contributing to dysfunction in the body, that means there are also ways we can support healing, improve function, and better care for future generations.

This episode is a reminder that children deserve more than symptom management. They deserve care that looks deeper.
