Daily Coloring Tip ☁️🌅
Color clouds by building around the light — not by filling them in.
Start with the paper’s white as your brightest highlight. Add very light layers of warm sunset colors (peach, coral, soft pink) around the edges of the cloud using gentle circular strokes. Keep the center mostly untouched.
Once the warmth is in place, lightly introduce cooler tones (pale lavender, cool gray, or soft blue) along the lower portions of the clouds to create depth and separation.
Blend slowly with light pressure. Let the edges stay soft and uneven.
Avoid outlining or filling clouds solid white — think mist and glow, not shape and lines.
I've had an itch to create something new but i guess i have to go salt my lots instead 🤷♂️
Weekend coloring hits different 😌

Daily Drawing Tip (Beginner-Friendly):
👉 Match your paper to your tool, not the other way around.
Paper isn’t “just paper.” The surface texture (tooth) completely changes how your drawing tools behave.
Smooth paper (hot-pressed / bristol):
Best for ink, fineliners, graphite detail, and clean line work
Sharp edges, minimal texture
Poor for heavy shading or layering
Medium-tooth paper (sketch paper):
Best all-around choice for beginners
Handles graphite, light colored pencil, and blending
Forgiving and easy to erase
Heavy tooth / textured paper (cold-pressed):
Best for charcoal, soft graphite, and expressive shading
Holds lots of pigment
Harder to get clean details
Beginner mistake:
Blaming the pencil when the paper is fighting you.
If your lines feel scratchy → paper is too rough.
If your shading won’t build → paper is too smooth.
Choose paper intentionally, and your drawings instantly improve.
One page.
One hour.
Or both?
Honest question 👀
Do you finish most of your coloring pages…
or start new ones before the last is done?
No judgment. We all have that folder 😅
