Halo update: our tiny tuxy gentleman has entered his independent era 🩶✨
This sweet little boy is now eating on his own and proudly following his big brother Ash absolutely everywhere. If Ash moves, Halo moves. If Ash investigates something suspicious, Halo is right behind him making sure he doesn’t miss a single detail.
Halo may be a little quieter than Ash, but he makes sure his presence is known with those adorable long whiskers and his constant tiny conversations. This boy LOVES to talk. Breakfast? He has opinions. Blankets? Also opinions. Existing? Definitely worth discussing.
Thank you to everyone who helps make these happy updates possible through fostering, donating, sharing, and supporting our mission.
And trust us… Halo still has plenty more opinions to share soon 🐾

Nursery Update ✨🐱
the babies are growing… and gaining opinions.
someone discovered how to climb.
someone else discovered how to yell for no reason.
and one of them has decided sleep is optional.
this is the stage where they go from “tiny fragile babies” to “small chaotic creatures with confidence.”
we love it here 💛

A message from Merced SPCA 💔
Please do not steal from us.
Last night, items donated for our annual yard sale fundraiser were stolen.
Merced SPCA is completely funded by donations from our community. Every item donated to us has a purpose and helps us raise the funds needed to continue caring for homeless, abandoned, neglected, and vulnerable animals.
The items donated to this fundraiser were generously given by community members to help save lives. Every dollar raised helps provide food, medical care, spay and neuter services, medications, and second chances.
When something is stolen from Merced SPCA, it is not just the rescue that is affected. We are a small rescue, and many times we are scraping by to cover emergency vet bills and provide lifesaving care for animals in need. Fundraisers like our annual yard sale help us keep them off the streets, vet bills and continue saving lives when an animal is in need of emergency.
Help us help them. Please don’t steal from Merced SPCA—or from the stray, homeless, and abandoned animals who depend on us. ❤️🐾

What a day! 🐾❤️
A huge THANK YOU to Paws & Pints, The Tarmac at Blaker Brewing, all of the organizers, volunteers, vendors, adopters, and animal lovers who came out for Pawty at the Mac!
We had an incredible time meeting so many wonderful people, sharing our mission, and most importantly—helping rescue cats find loving homes. Seeing so many of our rescue cats get adopted was the highlight of the day and a reminder of why events like these matter so much.
Every person who stopped by our booth, asked about rescue, donated, shared a kind word, or welcomed a new furry family member into their home made a difference. We are so grateful to have such a compassionate community standing behind local rescue efforts.
Thank you for inviting us to be part of such a fun and meaningful event. 🐱🐶🎉

PLEASE DON’T STEAL FROM US
The Merced SPCA relies on donations from our community for our largest fundraiser of the year— our annual Estate and Yard sale.
When you steal items, you are stealing from the homeless and abandoned animals in Merced. We can only care for them with the monies we receive during this event and donations from our community.
When you take something from us, you are taking away our ability to help street animals.
Help us help them— don’t steal from us or the stray animals of Merced.
