Mortgage relief program expands to help California homeowners with 2022 payments, past-due property taxes

New $25,000 Small Business Grant Deadlines Are Jan 2 and Jan 9
Vacaville businesses that may have struggled financially at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic have another avenue for support.

The city has launched its COVID Small Business Assistance Grant Program, and applications are due Jan. 2.
The goal, according to a city news release, is to “assist those business sectors in Vacaville who have sustained financial hardships caused or exacerbated by COVID-19 related mandates and are struggling the most to recover from the pandemic.”

“The City supports our local businesses and acknowledges the importance of showing this support in the form of financial assistance,” City Manager Aaron Busch said in a statement. “The City Council recognizes that businesses are the backbone of our local economy, and that fostering their success today, creates a prosperous future for Vacaville tomorrow.”
At its Sept. 27 meeting, the council voted to allocate $1 million of its American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for this program. The federal government has provided ARPA cash to aid in the local COVID-19 recovery.

If a business in Vacaville has been negatively and economically harmed by the pandemic and has gross receipts of less than $1 million from the previous year, it is eligible to apply. Applicants may get up to $25,000, depending on their annual revenue.
Complete applications are due Jan. 2 and will only be received through electronic submission. The application available at Apply4grant.com
