Week 2 of Serving the Underserved is underway! We're so excited to have Dr. Jim Bailey and his colleagues from the ShelbyCares Health Hubs to talk about their work providing care for our communities.

People assume that summers are slow in higher education...slow? What is "slow"? What is this "summer" you speak of?!? As soon as we say goodbye to one group of students, another is walking in the door! In July and August, Student Success will help welcome around 900 new students to their new life - thats 900 new friends, 900 new experiences, 900 new community members! We're so excited to share the campus and community we love with them! If you see new faces around campus this summer, say hi!

You've heard of "hot girl summer"...get ready for a HOT KAYAK SUMMER, Ya'll!! Grab a paddle and a buddy and lets get out on the water!

First, we're going to Lake Ouachita, near Hot Springs, AR. Whether you're a newbie or a pro, explore the crystal clear waters of one of Arkansas' most beautiful gems. May 29-31. This is a great beginner trip!

In June, we'll be exploring one of the most scenic rivers in the US, the Current River in the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. This is a shorter trip over Juneteenth, returning in time for Father's Day.

Class of 2026, we are SO PROUD of you! We can't wait to celebrate you, all you have accomplished, and all you will do as you go forward from today. You're going to change the world.
