Happy Thanksgiving to everybody! Thankful for everybody who made us possible to keep going through the pandemic and economic inflation! We will resume normal business hours on Sunday!

Let’s talk about Mr. Van for a minute.

A little background:
-sushi chef project managed the very FIRST SUSHI SPOT 30+ years ago here in Memphis by way of BENIHANA.
-trained with top sushi chefs in Japan through Benihana’s initiatives
-ventured out and started a sushi bar after Benihana’s old Minka house caught fire
-went into a semi retirement phase
and now recently we partnered to make his last mark here at Fam Highland.

He’s touched countless families and some celebrities for over 30+ years here in the very Memphis with his sushi flares and flavors. Now at 60 this is all he wants to do with this comeback tour, a simple sushi menu with fresh healthy ingredients and flavors; exactly what we intended here at Fam Highland.

So Memphis why not give Mr. Van a shout out for his 30+ years in the Memphis sushi scene and stop by to try out some of our sushi poke and fried rice bowls, we promise it won’t disappoint. Otherwise, he may just fall back into retirement and Memphis may forever lose out on this 🔥 🍣 😊

Fyi- our Highland Strip by the University are all cleared from road construction with additional parking in the rear…walking is just as nice.
