Be careful little eyes what you see.

Be intentional about what you allow to enter your mind and heart through your sight. Once you see it, you can't unsee it AND a seed is planted, which can either yield good fruit or rotten fruit.

Yeshua said the lamp of the body is the eye. What does He mean when He says, "When your eye is good?" The "good" eye focuses on those things that are pure, righteous, or give life to the soul and bring you into alignment with the Holy Spirit. If what you are seeing or watching is not bringing you into alignment with the Holy Spirit, then it is not good. If it is not good, it is harmful and corrupting to your wellbeing.

Guarding your eye gate is protecting your spiritual wellbeing thus protecting your body also. Guarding your eye gate not only protects you but also those connected to you. Those connected to your assignment. Those connected to your calling.

Be intentional about what you're watching because what you see has significant influence over your thoughts, actions, and emotions. Therefore, use absolute care when choosing what to watch for entertainment, what books to read and even social media content. Once you see something, it's in your mind. If it negatively affects your mind, it will manifest itself negatively in your body (actions). The next thing you know you'll find yourself doing things you never thought you'd do. Saying things you never thought you'd say. Going places you never thought you'd go. So protect your eyes. Your eyes are either a source of light or a source of darkness. You get to choose. Choose wisely.

“No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light. The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness. Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.”

“It is important to respect the laws that rule the physical universe because violation of these laws threatens our survival. We respect the laws of nature in order to survive. The internal equivalent to oxygen, what we need in order to survive, is love. Human relationships exist to produce love. And what is the highest internal law? That we love one another. Because if we don’t, we will all die. As surely as a lack of oxygen will kill us, so will a lack of love.”

Faith Without Works is Dead ✨
James 2:14-26

There's a section of this biblical passage that stands out to me:
📖 "You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?"

I can't tell you how many times I've heard “faith without works is dead” in the natural sense. 🌱
For example: You want a prosperous business 💼. You have faith in God that your business will prosper. 🙏 But your business won’t be successful unless you put in the work:
✅ Promote it 📢
✅ Manage your finances well 💰
✅ Build relationships 🤝

You’re trusting God to prosper the business while doing the work to promote growth and sustainability. With your faith AND your work, your business will prosper. 💪

You can have faith in God all day, but if you do absolutely nothing to get your business off the ground, you will not succeed. 🚫 Success does NOT just fall in your lap. It is earned. 🎯

However, I rarely hear "faith without works is dead" in the spiritual sense. 🕊️
That is why vv. 19-20 stand out to me:
⚠️ "Even the demons believe in God—and tremble!"
Yet, they are not saved! Why? Because they do not obey Him. They operate in darkness 🌑, completely opposite of God’s standards.

👉 Saying, “I believe in God!” is not enough.
❓ How do you live?
❓ What do your works reflect?

Are you a reflection of the love and light of Jesus Christ? ✨
Or do you:

Do what you want to do? 🙈
How you want to do it? 🤷‍♂️
When you want to do it? 🕒
And with who you want to do it with? 🫣
All without regard to God’s standards? 🚦

It does not matter that you believe in God if you do not follow His commands or the standards Jesus set when He came to live, die, and set us free. ✝️

🙋‍♀️ How many of us are walking around in disobedience and not in repentance? How many of us say, “I believe in God,” yet the way we:
Treat people 🗣️
Live 🏠
Talk 🗨️
Think 🧠
…is not in line with the Word of God? 📖

TOO MANY OF US DO THAT! 🚨

When we think about “faith without works is dead,” let’s not just look at it based on our natural needs to be successful in this world 🌍.

Let’s think about our spiritual needs and spiritual health 🛐 because at the end of the day…

🕊️ Spiritual (soul) success is what matters most.

💭 I don’t know about you, but I want to hear God say:
“Well done! You lived well. You loved well. You represented Me well.”

🙏 That, my friend, is true success.
And that is a result of true faith! ✨
