Cruising with AmaWaterways

AmaWaterways is our cruise line for the “April in Paris Jazz Cruise in 2023. I respect the guidelines they have put in place effective immediately to ensure the health and safety of their guest and crew.

Only fully vaccinated guest against COVID-19 will be permitted to cruise effective immediately.

Guests must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 within at least 14 days prior to departure for Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca or within 28 days prior for Johnson & Johnson.

We will keep abreast of updates and send a check list to help you prepare for your cruise.

Did You Know?
The U.K. government said that as of Aug. 2, fully vaccinated Americans can enter England and Scotland without a mandatory quarantine.

You will still need to take a pre-departure test and a PCR test on or before Day Two of arrival. No quarantine will be required unless you test positive.

Vaccinated U.S. travelers will need to show proof of vaccination through their physical vaccine card, as well as proof of U.S. residency. The U.S. remains on the “Amber” list as part of Britain’s traffic light system for international travel.

Unvaccinated visitors will still be required to quarantine for 10 days, as well as take a pre-departure test and tests on or before Day Two, and on or after Day Eight of arriving.

All visitors must complete a U.K. passenger locator form, which can be filled out online within 48 hours of arriving. Travelers can find test providers in England and Scotland by visiting the test provider website.

The Mexican Caribbean state of Quintana Roo, is home to well-known and popular tourism areas as Cancun, Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos, Cozumel and the ancient Mayan site of Tulum.

On Monday, the state’s Governor Carlos Joaquín enacted a new policy that obliges businesses—including hotels, restaurants, bars, shopping centers and other public places—to require that patrons show proof of vaccination or negative test results under 72 hours as a condition for entry to their establishments. The mandate applies equally to all including employees.

According to Forbes, as part of the order that’s set to take effect on August 2, both visitors and citizens must carry their vaccination certificates with them whenever they’re in public places, including bars, restaurants, retail centers, etc. Wearing face masks in public places remains compulsory.
