Currently living out Psalm 23 right now. I recently said farewell to my first ever lawyer job. Fortunately for me it ended with a general sessions trial in the city where it all began. You wear so many hats but today we get to celebrate you for being a dad! Thank you for praying, providing,leading & for keeping our home PLAYFUL! My favorite part about watching you parent is getting to watch Deuce go crazy over every little thing you do. Or watching you intentionally work on your “dad bod” or fighting with you over you giving my baby pudding 🤦🏽‍♀️

You get on my nerves for sure but I wouldn’t want to be in partnership with anyone else. And although Deuce can’t talk yet, I know he loves and appreciates you too! Happy Fathers Day Daddy David!

Y’all know what I love about my mama? She don’t play about her kids!!!!! Lol if you are close to me I know you have at least one story to tell about her. 😭 But no seriously… before you can even say I need you she’s on her way…. LITERALLY in the car, or on the plane. Mom, I love you with all of my heart! And I think I finally forgive you for yelling at me to be still while making me take pictures in the dark in St. Louis while I was (unknowingly) standing in an ant hill 😂😂

we’re in a mommy only phase rn and it’s overwhelming sometimes but most times I’m just thankful that I can be present for my son. As long as there’s breath in my body I’ll be here for your toothless bites and slobbery besos. Love you deuce deuce.

Exposure is where I often think we fall short. For me, exposure doesn’t always equate to access to financial resources. It amounts to a willingness to sacrifice time and presence and a willingness to have an open mind. Early on I decided that Deuce would be exposed to as much as humanly possible. When I began my transition to going back to work my mom came to Memphis and stayed with us for a month to help with the transition. Lolli got deuce hooked on Sesame Street and a strange turn of events led my parents to watch the to find this super cute place called in PA!

Last week we went and had so much fun! Sure he probably won’t remember all that we did. He probably won’t forget the two hour detour to “sesame place” 😂 but for a few hours he saw his fav characters, played with bubbles, rode the carousel with mommy and heard his favorite tunes. Here’s to a lifetime of exposure with the best baby in the world!

My dream for matching PJs went straight out the window when my baby decided to p*e all over the first set of pajamas. Then the dream was completely ruined when he had two blowouts in his second set of Christmas pajamas as we were trying to open Christmas gifts. But hey thank you Baby Deuce for reminding us what Christmas is all about in the first place. Needless to say, naked baby opened his gifts. Although Christmas didn’t go exactly as planned, we really enjoyed all of our family time. And I really enjoyed seeing David’s face when he realized that his baby does play with toys!!! 😭😂
