-Jack Browns burgers are *sooooo* yummy it doesn’t make sense + they have an elite version of Big Mac-ish sauce 🤤 + FRIED OREOS!?! 😱

-I don’t really wear hats much anymore but my new .ranch junt is perf 🤌

-our precious Cajun sister .simien got married to her soulmate… love celebrating love 💓

-my sweet girl .with.victoria got me a BASKETBALL GOAL for my birthday… if you know me, you know what this does for my inner child 🏀🧡

-idk what we were laughing about in pic 12 but s/o for becoming a HEAD BASKETBALL COACH (gonna need some private sessions on the low plz) ⛹️‍♂️

-need to add pro yard saler to my resume at this point 🤑

reminiscing on my first SXSW was fun yesterday... so here's some year two memories from 🎶

-📷: Shot By KG - randomly got asked to do a freestyle for Pepsi in the middle of 6th St... I was terrified but Wheat Robinson amped me up and I pulled it off 😅

-Memphis was heavy... family 💛〽️🤞

-meeting was def a highlight... so much respect for him and Wallo267 💐

-got to go to the Illmore for the 2nd year in a row... and witness J. Cole perform live and up close 😱🙌

-saw him walking across the street and ran over so quick I think startled him... yes - it's Nardwuar the Human Serviette.

-used to have "Daddy's Lambo", "I Just Wanna Party", and "Pop The Trunk" on repeat in my early 20s… ty YelaWolf 🤝

-if you follow me then you should already know this... Jozzy is one of the greatest songwriters from Memphis 〽️✍️

-shared a stage with artists like + Scotty ATL + Sy Ari Da Kid + at my showcase thanks to + ✊

-s/o Orange Mixtapes 🍊🧡

in honor of the final day of - throwing it back a decade to my first SXSW -

-performed at unofficial showcases my rookie year at SXSW, but got into some pretty 'official' places thanks to friends like Drumma Boy 〽️💛🤞

-this was Lil Bibby when he was still putting out music as an artist... fast forward and he's responsible for nurturing some of the biggest artists into the game (like Juice WRLD and Kid Laroi)

-everyone knows this face now... big love for Jelly Roll

-I can't remember how we got into this situation, but I got a couple free pairs of SOL REPUBLIC Headphones and I felt special (s/o )

-one of the G.O.A.T.s of Hip-Hop Journalism... Elliott Wilson

-one day I'll tell y'all the full story about how Wheat Robinson and I ended up at the legendary iLLMORE at 2am but it was all thanks to Lawrence Boo Mitchell... one of my favorite memories ever and so grateful I got to share space with so many incredible artists that night (by far the best moment was getting the chance to talk to Mac Miller 🤍🕊️)

-this was when G-Eazy was gearing up to drop his 'These Things Happen' album so he was all over the place that year at SXSW

-originally met Samir Hamid at A3C Festival & Conference in ATL in 2013 and ran into him again in Austin... so much respect for him as a human and everything he's done with F4mily Matters

-Wheat, and I packed into a small car with Pat Mitchell Worley (not pictured) to drive 9.5 hours to Austin from Memphis and rep the first ever Memphis As F**K t-shirts... we knew it was gonna be something based on the number of people that stopped us to show love because of it ( was one of them!) 🫶

-fell in love with Austin that year... and i really miss that gold backpack 🥺

2023 D U M P | Part 4

-Memphis is the most burtiful land in the world!!

-got invited to speak at a HR conference and had to let them know what to do if they see me and they're tryna see what's up (see video in comments)

-I've loved Taylor Swift since 'Tim McGraw'... saw the movie with my Swiftie Seester and I wept when Tay pulled out that guitar and played 'Our Song'

-volunteered my team to paint the entire gym at the Boys & Girls Club and it was one of my favorite days of the whole year

-my brudda had his first baby boy (we love you Legend) and hair is more luxurious than ever before

2023 Dump | Part 3

-blessed by some new friendships this past year… like Kunal who shared his passion for chai and Indian food with me!

-faced more fears… got on a bunch of roofs and hung out some top floor windows like I’m not afraid of heights 🙃

-overcame my aversion to eggs… never liked them my whole life and now v has me eating over easy eggs on sourdough every morning

-thank you to Michele for the piano 💛🫶… much love to my brother Richard and Chad for helping vv and I move it then giving us something we could do a lil jig to (see comments for video)

-I would go out to a club again if Spectrum reopened… just put me in a cage and turn on Travis Porter

-more walks in nature… doubling up in 2024

-not sure how I feel about the new Tom Lee Park yet cause it was hot af the day I went and my lil fan wasn’t helping so I’ma try again later

2023 Dump | Part 2

-people assume I’m super social but I’m actually more like a hermit… grateful for friends that get me outta the house

-got to collab with the iconic .quarlesiv and and it was dreamy… much love to for the call (fun fact - I don’t drink alcohol lol) [see comments for video]

-v and I are six years in and get weirder every day

-discovered and it’s truly top tier… ask for Ryley

-i love + + Ender (not pictured but most honorable mention)

-won a couple of trophies for my first booth at the Apartment Association Trade Show… and had the honor of getting to know the 🐐

-met the SHE-EO and gave her all the kudos for what she’s built at 💐

-flipped some furniture… because you need 98,872 side hustles to survive in this economy

-instead of public benches, there should be swings

-my maw maw is the most precious thing ever… i love bringing her peaches, tomatoes and Wendy’s Frostys [see comments for video]

2023 Dump | Part 1

Random thoughts…

-multiple carousel posts >> long reels with short clips

-adulting 101… cutting your yard is a free form of therapy

-walking in nature is also therapy… and we don’t give Shelby Farms enough credit

-wings and sliders… deli style and/or me plz

-consumed an unhealthy number of glizzies at summer events… I’m an Oscar Meyer Weiner (fun fact - my dad used to drive the weiner mobile when I was a kid and I sang the theme song with my siblings on the radio once)

-v and I laugh A LOT together… we also cried more than ever this year but made it thru one of the most painful experiences of our lives

-reconnecting with some old friends was good for my heart and having my sister Meeky back home was too

-still wish that was my mom… thanks for the gift

I don’t know the rules anymore… is it vain to post ten pictures of yourself in a multi-post? 🙃

I’ve had a complex love/hate relationship with social media for years and haven’t gotten into a regular stride of posting for so many reasons – partially because I overthink *everything* but mostly because I just stopped allowing it to be an obligation and my focus was elsewhere.

There were so many precious moments in 2022 and 2023 that I didn’t share! So – if you’re still here and care – expect more from me across my social media platforms going forward.

Also – I have been horrendous about keeping up with my DMs for WAYYYY too long. I could go on and on about what’s kept me out of my inbox, but this isn’t the post for that… just know that my goal is to catch up by the end of the year and then be very intentional about checking it daily.

Bob Ross (Victoria Christine Wood) and his Happy Little Tree (me) made a couple of appearances this year… at the Whataburger event at FLIP SIDE Memphis where we were treated so well by the Whataburger crew (thanks for the f***y pack, socks and dip car clip), got to try the yummy new Breakfast menu, and took home the ‘Best Costume’ Belt and 3rd place in the pinball tournament - then the Choose901 party at Old Dominick Distillery where we ate Gus's Fried Chicken + Gibson's Donuts + so much other good food with our friends!

🧡 S/O + for winning free Whataburger for a year and getting 1st place in the pinball tournament!

🧡 Much love to for the invite to the Choose901 Halloween Celebration and the rest of the City Leadership team for putting together such a fun event!!

PS - I have the funniest, most silly lover and she brings so much laughter to my life! 😍 love my Bobby Ross!! 🎨😁🌲
