Behind the Stitches 🧵✨
If you flip this hoop over, you’ll see a chaotic web of knots, loose threads, and "what was I thinking?" crossovers. It’s a total disaster zone back there.
But turn it around? You see the little A-frame cabin, every family member in their place, and a scene that looks—dare I say—peaceful.
Life feels a lot like the back of this embroidery lately. It’s messy, tangled, and sometimes feels like a series of mistakes held together by a single thread. There are days where the "messy back" energy is all I can see.
But then I look at the front. I look at the family
The chaos of the everyday—the spilled coffee, the loud house, the endless to-do lists—is just the structural integrity for the beautiful picture they're building together. It turns out, you need those messy knots on the inside to make the family portrait hold firm on the outside.
Messy life, beautiful family, worth every stitch. ❤️
Thank you Laurie for allowing me the ability to do this

It is with great sadness due to family loss, Thistle and Thread will not be at this weekend's Spring Craft show at Bartlett United Methodist. Praying all the talented and amazing vendors have a wonderful and successful weekend.
And this is why people don't ask me about hand embroidery 😆😆.
Commissions have kept me in my Regency-era bubble over the winter! 🥰🩷
Now I'm preparing for the spring market at Bartlett United Methodist, happening at the end of March. See you soon!
Converse before embroidery: "I am a simple canvas."
Converse after embroidery: "I am a museum exhibit and you are privileged to walk in me."
It's the glow-up for me. Now the question is: how many more stitches can I squeeze onto these things? Email [email protected] or message for custom commissions
Thank you to Bartlett Hills Baptist church again this year for such an amazing fall craft festival. The people that hosted, from helping unload/load things, the workers that fed everyone, and the bakers that made tasty treats were such a blessing! It was such a pleasure meeting so many people who visited this year as well as working side by side with all the talent that was present. If you missed any shopping, look for all the markets coming your way; you'll find absolutely amazing and talented people. If I missed you this year, you can catch me at SY Wilson or message me on my socials as well as my website . Im still open for some commissions and Christmas will be going live on my website soon
