Hi, parents! Sorry for all this information but I just realized students need an account to view the assigned article. The good news is that students can use their clever account to access the article. I will list the step-by-step instructions in how to do this. Also, please message us or call us if your child needs their clever account information. Thanks!

Steps:
1. Click Sign In at the upper right hand corner of the Newsela website.
2. Select Clever to sign in.
3. Click Students- Login Here.
4. Put in clever username and password.
5. Click on the assigned article.
6. Click on the assigned article again.

Parents when accessing the article you will need to go near the right top corner of the article and change the number from 1110L to 770L in order for the text to be at a fourth grade level. Thanks!
