IF YOUR ROOF LOOKS LIKE THIS, the storm left you a little gift of ice dams! This gift keeps on giving and could lead to roof leaks - keep an eye on your roof for damage!!!
The sun is out today and you may notice some of the ice melting slightly. But when the sun goes down, that melted ice is refreezing under the shingles and in the roof valleys.
IF YOU HAVE A FLAT OR LOW-PITCH ROOF, the snow adds excessive weight and stress and should be kept under close watch.
Please don’t hesitate to call us to come check out your roof or to remove ice from your roof dormers and valleys where it’s piling high. Yes it will be costly, but it will save you from more expensive repairs later!! Reach out to me anytime at 901-687-9651

SNOW TIP: Don’t salt your roof!!!! It won’t prevent leaks!!!
Now that we got the obvious out of the way…
With the winter weather almost here, I wanted to share quick reminders that could save you a lot of damage and money:
The best things you can do right now are:
• Make sure gutters and downspouts are clear
• Let faucets drip slightly during the coldest temps
• Open cabinet doors under sinks to let warm air circulate

GOT OLD WINDOWS?
We wanted to hop on the throwback trend, but don’t be fooled, these original windows were more than 20 years old!
Windows that are 20+ years old tend to need replacing because…
- the seal between panes fail
- moisture gets in and makes the windows foggy
- weatherstripping compresses or rots
- frames warp slightly
- sashes don’t seal tightly
You may notice this happening if…
- the air feels colder/warmer when you get close to the windows
- curtains move on their own
- your HVAC is working hard and costing more to make up for the heat loss in winter & the heat gain in summer
- there is wood rot on the panes
