Our team next visited another soup kitchen and thrift shop called Blessed Hands. We spent time with people and learning about how they live. After a local pastor shared the Word with all of us, we served them lunch of rice, gravy, and chicken.

Our next visit was to the combined ministries of Jacobs Well and Baselia Patria. Students come to develop skills in farming God’s way, construction, electrical, welding, plumbing, technology, and more. When they complete their programs, they receive certificates and help with resumes to find work.
Jacobs well provides education for disabled, assisted living for some elderly people, church services and Sunday school for the local community and much more.

Another day at the NHKA church to make garlic bread to be sold for ministry support and also feed people at the soup kitchen.
We were very blessed to be able to spend time with people from this community, hear their stories and pray with and for them.

Our team’s next stop was the kitchen at General Nikolas Smit primary school, where we peeled and diced squash, potatoes, and also chopped cabbage. Then we repackaged spices, rice, maize, and more, from bulk donations into smaller family size packages. Some was used to feed nearly 800 children at the school. Packages would be sent home to families.
