I hate to say it, but now that August is here the start of school is just around the corner! The school shopping is in full force in my home. With a beautiful mudroom like this, you would be able to store everything and keep it out of sight so it wouldn’t be a constant reminder of just how soon the beginning of the year chaos really is! In the meantime, we will continue to enjoy these next summer weeks and hope you do too!!

The heat wave is here and in full force! Stay cool my friends!

Now, this is what kitchen dreams are made of! 🙌🏼💯 We love that clients are becoming more adventurous with cabinet colors and mixing materials! This kitchen is a 10 out of 10. Oh, and let’s not forget to draw your attention to those pendant lights 😍

We love what adding shutters to our Brookline addition did to change the look of the exterior. They are the “accessories” needed to dress up certain homes.

Our Chestnut Hill addition is almost complete, and the pool is coming along nicely!! Just in time for summer!!

Our Brookline/Chestnut Hill addition is almost complete, and we are beyond excited for the finished product. Being able to add something new, to a home that holds so much “old character” is always a fun challenge.

What a perfect day to be cozied up in bed, if only we weren’t all so busy. The hustle of the holidays are in full swing, but taking a moment to be grateful for how perfect this kids room came out for our client.

With 18 days left until Christmas I’m sure we’re all in the thick of getting everything ready to celebrate.

My wife grew up celebrating Christmas on Christmas Eve, and I celebrate on Christmas Day. We both always had large family dinners with friends and family from all over coming to see us. Now that we have our own family we merged our two traditions together.

Even though the guest list has gotten much smaller (thanks COVID) we still make enough food for an army, and enjoy it for days after Christmas. The kitchen has and always will be the heart of our home.

This kitchen is fit for gatherings large or small, food for one or food for all. We just love how rustic and modern it feels at the same time!

Thankful for our veterans

What a great night at the 2021 Prism Awards!! We are so honored and grateful to be able to take home an award for one of our projects. We couldn’t have done it without the team. A big congrats to all the other winners.

On a day like today, wouldn’t we all love a living space (and master bedroom) that can open up to our deck so we can enjoy this gorgeous weather?! This project was a special build for us with a special client. We are so happy how this new home came out, and how we were able to meet our clients desires and dreams with this home. Keep an eye out for more photos to come of this beauty.

D. McQuillan Construction is always making sure our team and others on our sites are protected. Our “Safety First” safety table is set up to ensure everything we need is on site.

We have a lot of different things happening at our Brookline/Chestnut Hill addition. Steel beams going in, masonry work going on, and other behind the scene details!! We salvaged most of the existing home’s stone so we could incorporate it onto the new addition so everything would match and line up. Making sure everything goes as smooth as possible so we can stick with our clients timeline.

The newest addition to our D. McQuillan family, Jack, working hard at our Walpole kitchen remodel. We are so happy to have him be a part of the team.

Frame work is just about complete at our Walpole addition. Who else loves standing back from a newly framed structure and picturing what it will become? Because I know I do. 🙋🏻‍♂️
