Real estate transactions are one of the biggest targets for wire fraud because there’s big money involved. 74% of the wire fraud recovery requests in 2022 came from home buyers wiring cash to close, mortgage payoffs, and seller net proceeds. On average, $106,557.00 was the average wire fraud loss for consumers.

I’m always warning my clients about wire fraud. Cyber criminals are experts at phishing and tricking home buyers to wire their closing cash. Buyer Beware - wire fraud attempts are on the rise!

I’ve said it before, but it’s true - selling a home that you’ve lived in for a very long time, can be quite overwhelming. You don’t know where to start or what to do. The emotional attachment to your home can be difficult to deal with. 

Trusting someone is hard, but it’s some thing a seller needs to have with their Realtor. Good communication is such an important component. Caring for your clients and having their best interest at heart is key. 

Fortunately, my seller listened to me, trusted me completely, and let me take the reins.  I think he’s thanked me 50 times:)…I really do have the nicest clients. ❤️
