Got to revisit Soak City (Kings Island) on a Sunday a few weekends ago! Spent more time in the water park and enjoyed more slides this time compared to last year!

Overall, it's an alright water park. The new Tropical Plunge slide complex surely does add something to the park as a whole, and provides some new levels of super exciting thrills! Along with that, I especially enjoyed the mat racer slide, and some of the other body slides Pineapple Pipeline and Tropical Twister. This medium sized park also offers two wave pools, a lazy river, a surf simulator, and plenty of places to eat and relax.

Once the day's heat really settled in was when the wait times especially came up, though. It's especially unfortunate for the Tropical Plunge body slides since there is only one operator dispatching sliders one at a time for all three body slides instead of all three slides at the same time. I would have loved to try their lazy river, which was outfitted with interactive geysers and sprays throughout its journey, but had unfortunately opted to skip due to the enormous queue it had gained to enter.

All in all, though, I enjoyed this park and what it had to offer. Since it and Kings Island were included with admission, I got to enjoy a sample of Kings Island when it opened an hour prior to Soak City opening. I highly recommend getting to Soak City right when it opens to get the most out of your day, then when the crowds get especially rough, you can dry off and ride the train back over to Kings Island and ride some coasters!

Overall Soak City rating score: 7/10
