Incident Safety Officer Course announcement:

Starts November 10th at Andersons Training Center see attached syllabus. Course is free, books provided

This class will be held in the evenings Mondays and Wednesdays 6PM-10PM

Former Lieutenant and Firefighter Josh Reed was recently diagnosed with AML Leukemia. He is currently at Simon Cancer Center receiving treatment. Josh is a fighter and one tough individual. Yorktown/Mt. Pleasant Twp. Fire Department is going to be conducting a boot drive through the Four for the Fourth festivities to assist in offsetting his medical expenses. Josh is self employed and has 3 young children.

Boots will be able to be found throughout the day as we will be around assisting in all the festivities. Please find a firefighter anytime on the 4th of July if you want to donate. There will be multiple times - 444th Race Event, Duct Tape Boat Race, while the aerial is at the Meadows, and also while down getting setup for the fireworks.

For those of you who either do not live in the area or want to donate and will not be around during the events we will be getting a facebook fund raising tag up as well here on facebook.

Please assist us in spreading the word, we need as much help as we can to get this out to everyone in our community to assist a public servant that put years into giving back to his community by volunteering. Thank you

Ladder Maze day for District 6 students, their legs feel like jelly.... their afternoon consisted of introduction to Rapid Intervention Team or Crew. Thank you Chesterfield-Union Township Fire Department for the use of the Aerial and Lapel Stony Creek Twp. Fire Territory for the use of their Engine.

SCBA confidence day for students in the District 6 Firefighter 1/2 class. Each student completed 10 trips through the course with varying degrees of difficulty.

Congratulations to these guys for passing D/O Pumper Class.
