"Spring Cleanup"
I took this photo while shooting a race down by the railroad tracks along the river in Saint Paul a couple of weeks ago.
As I came out from the structure, the police working the race, asked if there was anyone under this concrete cave right under the tracks. They said they usually do a spring cleanup to see if anyone had a rough winter...They hadn't hit that spot yet. So it really creeped me out that I had just seen an empty makeshift bed and shelter, with personal belongings in there.
Makes you think about how they got there, and why life got so hard for them.
