You have an oval body shape if your widest part is your torso and your tummy. Your tummy is full and sits midway to low.
Here are a few simple styling strategies:
Add vertical design lines and features above the waist or from top to toe.
Wear your tops out and only as long as your knuckles unless you are tall.
Choose flowing fabrics over anything stiff or clingy.
Show your shape, don't hide it under shapeless items.
Look for high waisted dresses and tops that sit above your tummy.
Monochromatic outfits that have interesting texture or vertical features will work well. Make sure that are in a color that suits your skin tone.

It's the one dress you can count on to carry you through most occasions. One that can be dressed up, down and accessorized easily.

Here are qualities to look for:
Semi-fitted: a dress that shows some shape.
Clean lines: a dress with lines that flow freely over your body from neck to hemline uninterrupted by too many seams, ruching, draping etc.
Tailored: in order words a dress that has some fitting. A semi-fitted style will deliver you a form flattering shape while being appropriate to most occasions and lifestyles.
Sleeveless: certainly not obligatory but a sleeveless or cap sleeve dress does allow for all types of scarves and sweaters to be added.
Minimal to Unembellished: the more details on the dress such as collar, pockets, ruffles etc the fewer options you will have to dress it up and down with accessories.
Solid Color (or close to it): as you'll learn you can successfully accessorize a patterned dress but it take a little more strategy. Solid colored dresses allow you unlimited scope to play and experiment with accessories.
Medium Depth Color: a medium to medium-dark color will take you from day to night as well as being figure flattering.
A Print that Incorporates a Neutral Color: this allows the dress to easily be with layered with a jacket. Extra tip: A print background that is the same depth has your hair will harmonize beautifully with your coloring.
Classic Neckline: scoop, V and square necklines allow for many styles and lengths of necklaces. Unusual necklines and collars are more limiting.
Midi Length: just above the knee to mid calf like a medium color will be flattering and versatile.
Then add accessories to:

One of the things we've all fallen victim to is purchasing an item or style of clothing that we have never worn before. Maybe they were garments that were on sale, momentary infatuations, or things we were talked into but whatever the reasons these items cost us time, money, and closet space.
You see finding your style and creating a wardrobe of clothes you love to wear is something that takes time, knowledge, and practice.
When I find tops that are too short for clients I suggest the following:
~ Wear a longer top of the same color underneath, or
~ Wear with a dress
~ If it is a jacket or cardigan, team it with a top worn underneath that matches your skirt or pants and leave the jacket/cardigan open.
Both strategies will elongate the torso and look much better on. This way you can get some wear out of the item and have learned not to buy this style again.

After seeing all the amazing clothing yesterday, I don’t want to hide them all under heavy coats so….As the cold months approach, there's no need to bulk up your body with chunky knits and padded jackets to stay warm.
Adding thermal base layers allows you to stay comfortable and warm without sacrificing visual appeal. You can also wear more than one layer to add extra warmth.
Having said that, not all thermal garments are equal when it comes to warmth or comfort. The best are those that wick sweat away from your body.
Here are a few key points to remember when searching for thermals.
They need to be form-fitting; snug but not tight.
Thermals that have a smooth/slick outer surface will resist upper clothing clinging to them.
Choose the weight that is right for your conditions. They range from lightweight to heavyweight.
Consider the warmth to weight ratio of synthetic fabrics like acrylic and polyester as they are 3-8 times higher than knitted or woven fabrics like wool or cotton.
Look for fabrics such as Wool, Silk or Synthetics. Cotton is the least effective of all fabrics as it traps moisture and can make you feel clammy.
