I was up-potting some asters when I heard a swarm start up. Love the way they all came together on a super low branch (lucky us). The form is cool! Also don't worry, shaking the bees into the box doesn't hurt them. They have an exoskeleton that allows them to handle some harsh conditions. Once the queen is in the box the rest of the bees follow her in. 🐝

Hello humidity and biting gnats! Is it Fall yet? Lol, I'm just kidding. We've got another big round of carrots coming your way tomorrow and we hope to see you there!

The rest of the garden is a mess! If your garden looks bad, don't worry. Everything just got wind whipped, too much rain, hailed on and it's WAY too cold 🥶 Things will warm up and look better soon!

I can't believe no one bought this carrot today 🤣 But seriously, thank you all so much for showing up and buying so many carrots. We only came home with a few bunches that we'll happily eat ourselves!

Y'all are great and we appreciate you! We will have more carrots next week, not quite as many though. I'm ready for the end of our carrot season ;)

Market day

Oh my gosh we worked hard today. Are you all ready for another round of carrots? I sure hope so! Please come get some! They are delicious (I know cause I was eating them all day :) We will have beets and more! See you tomorrow 8-1

We found a swarm yesterday and before we could grab them they made the decision to leave! Ugh. It took seconds. See all the specs in the second photo? Those are bees. We watched them take off towards the creek. If anyone sees them let us know 😭🤣

Heads up! This is the last year I'm offering vegetable plants. We will still be doing native plants, don't worry! It does make me a little sad but we just plainly don't have the time, energy and infrastructure to make it all happen, especially with carrot season happening at the same time! Just wanted to let folks know now so they can secure their seed for next year ;)

Our little business is a pretty well oiled machine at this point. We just need to refine a bit. Thanks for understanding!

Well this is interesting. A 2nd cherry bloom. Hmmm. Cherry jam may be in our future after all 🤔
