Looking good is feeling good, but feeling good makes you look even better. This is why I created the Academy by Candy products. Our skin complexion can drastically affect the way we feel about ourselves. When we look in the mirror and notice changes in our skin that we aren’t happy with, it can affect our moods for the entire day, if not longer. In the 1980s, my husband and I researched what could give us beautiful, youthful skin forever while holding on to our main philosophy: “Skincare should be simple, honest, ethical, and effective.” We found it and bottled it. As a Registered Nurse spending most of my life as a plastic surgical assistant, cosmetic consultant, clinical cosmetologist, professional model, make-up artist, I, Candy Langan RN, have worked with thousands of women who were concerned about their appearance. And while they came to me for surface level fixes, I realized that ultimately, it was about these women feeling better about themselves, gaining confidence, and being happy. The Academy by Candy skincare line was born. Taking the secret ingredient we found (the natural Alpha Hydroxy Acid, glycolic acid, made from sugar cane) and specially formulating the products in our own lab (in New Jersey, USA), we created a medical skincare line clinically proven to reverse the aging process of the skin, while leaving the skin smooth and flawless. I spent over 20 years educating and training physicians around the world on giving skin rejuvenation peels with glycolic acid, accompanied by my products.
