Children entering kindergarten need to know basic shapes. Here are some fun ideas to learn shapes:

Wanna play blocks with your children? Try taking turns, listening, sorting, predicting, observing outcomes, making patterns, and counting.

Trouble at bedtime? Do the same routine every night, at the same time. You might begin with a bath and brushing teeth, read two books, and then turn out the light for bed.

Warm, nurturing relationships with responsive adults are necessary for many key areas of children's development , including empathy, cooperation, self-regulation, cultural socialization, communication, peer relationships, and identity information.

Our PAT children were asked to color and decorate their Christmas tree. Please “like” the picture that is your favorite! This contest will end next Wednesday, December 15 at noon. The picture with the most “likes” will get a prize at their January visit. 🎄

With the holidays approaching, here are some great gift ideas: Candy Land, Hi Ho Cherry-O, Hungry Hungry Hippo, and matching games are great ways to have fun and learn at the same time 😀

A new portal was launched today to connect families with South Carolina's public services for young children. Created by the South Carolina Early Childhood Advisory Council, First Five SC will transform the way families access publicly funded early childhood programs and services in our state. Through a single online portal, families and their advocates can find information about child care, health, early intervention, nutrition, and parenting support programs in their area.

The holiday season is a great time to talk about and practice using your five senses. There are multiple smells, sights, sounds, tastes, and textures that are different during this season. Have fun exploring these skills with your children. 🎄☃️🍪
