I have officially discovered my superpower! 🦸♂️🌩️
We are big Marvel fans in my house. We love watching the Avengers, Captain America, Iron Man, and especially Spider-Man. The boys love putting on capes and jumping off the furniture (even though they know they’re not supposed to be standing on it).
But my superpower doesn't involve capes. It involves the weather.
As a professional window cleaner, my morning routine is pretty standard: wake up, make coffee, check the forecast, and load up the truck.
If the weather app says clear skies and sun all day? We’re good to go. A 13% chance of rain? No problem.
But when the forecast gets iffy, that’s when my superpower kicks in.
Now, we don’t clean windows in the pouring rain, we don’t stand on metal ladders during thunder and lightning, and we don't tug on Superman's cape... you know the song. 😉
But clearly, the weather app can’t actually predict the weather. We all know this, yet we’re all still frustrated by it!
It gets tricky because my nephew, Kevin—who happens to be my best (and sometimes worst!) employee—drives an hour to work with me every single day. Because of that commute, I have to make the final call by 7:00 AM on whether we are working or rescheduling.
And that is where my "useless superpower" alters reality:
Scenario A: It’s currently raining, radar shows a 68% chance of severe T-storms, and the percentage is rising. Seems like a total no-brainer, right? I make the tough call and reschedule all of our wonderful clients for the day.
The result? The moment the cancellation texts are sent, the clouds magically part. The sun blazes. A cool, crisp breeze rolls in. It instantly becomes the most beautiful, perfect day for cleaning windows in human history. ☀️
Scenario B: The weather app warns of an 88% chance of torrential downpours, but I look outside and it’s a gorgeous, cloudless morning. The radar looks clear. I tell myself we won't be fooled again, so I call Kevin and tell him we’re a go. He drives an hour, we load up the truck, and the exact second we pull up to our first customer's house... the sky splits open and it monsoons on us. 🌧️🚌
So there it is. My useless superpower: I control the weather simply by making the wrong schedule call.
Why couldn’t I get lightning speed like The Flash, or be able to shoot professional window cleaning solution out of my wrists like Spider-Man? 🕸️🧼
Noooo. Instead, I get the power to accidentally create perfect sunny days just by staying home.

Welcome to the team, Mac!
We are so excited to introduce the newest member of our crew. Mackenzie (or "Mac" for short) officially joined the family business this week, and she hit the ground running!
We spent the day over in the Ranch Country neighborhood in Magnolia, and we definitely didn’t go easy on her for her first day. It was a massive project:
60 windows cleaned inside and out
A full driveway pressure wash
Cleaning both sides of a white vinyl fence
We kept her busy from sunup to sundown, but she did an incredible job. At All Git Out Services, we take a lot of pride in the details—from cleaning the tracks and screens to ensuring those fences and driveways look like new—and Mac stepped right up to the plate.
It’s a great feeling to have family working alongside us to keep Magnolia’s homes looking their best. Next time you see her out on a job site, be sure to say hi!

🏠 A Quick Lesson in "Top-Down" Cleaning from Indigo Lake Estates
We recently stopped by a beautiful home in Indigo Lake Estates to see a regular client—let's call her Mrs. H. She had originally reached out just for a window cleaning, and we’d given her a quote based on photos of the property.
But when we pulled into the driveway, I noticed a problem:
While the glass was dirty, the real issue was higher up. About half the home was covered in green algae, and the eaves were tucked thick with spider webs and mud daubers.
Why "Just Windows" Wasn't Enough
Even though we always wash the window frames to prevent dirt from washing back onto the glass, it wouldn't have been enough for Mrs. H this time.
The first spring thunderstorm would have sent all that algae and mud running straight down the siding and onto her freshly cleaned windows.
I had to be honest with her: If we only did the windows today, she’d be calling me back in two weeks wondering why they looked streaky again.
The Top-Down Solution
We recommended a full house wash first. By clearing the "source" of the grime—the algae on the siding and the nests in the eaves—we ensured her home didn't just look better; it stayed clean significantly longer.
If you’re prepping your home for the season in Magnolia, here is the strategy we used for Mrs. H:
Step 1: The Gutter & Eave Reset. Clear out the mud daubers and debris so the roofline is clean.
Step 2: The Soft Wash. Remove the green algae and pollen from the siding so there’s no "splash back" later.
Step 3: The Detailed Finish. We finished with a traditional hand-washing of the glass, tracks, and screens.
The result? Mrs. H’s home was glowing from the curb, and she won't have to worry about the next rain ruining her view of the lake.
Ever wonder why windows get dirty so fast? 🪟
I was out recently in the neighborhood of Woodforest, Conroe, helping a new customer prep their fence for staining, and he asked me what else we do.
When I told him our specialty is window cleaning, he was frustrated—he’d just had his windows cleaned a couple of weeks ago, but he was amazed at how much dirt was already back on the glass.
It reminded me of something I see all the time. A lot of people (and even some cleaners) use standard dish soap because it’s handy and sudsy.
That soap leaves behind a tiny, sticky film that actually pulls dust and pollen right out of the air. It’s the main reason those windows look dirty again after just a week or two.
I’m a big believer in hand-washing with the right professional solutions so the "clean" actually lasts. In fact, I just finished a gutter job for a client whose windows we did four months ago, and they still look great!
