Tribal issues often fail to garner sufficient attention, and this appointment will allow legislators and tribal representatives to jointly discuss matters that would not otherwise come to light.

WIAA history. 🏆

Osceola’s Elletta Uddin became just the sixth girl in WIAA State Track & Field history to win four consecutive state titles in two different events, both the 100 M hurdles and 300 M hurdles. She closed out her career by breaking both of her own state records with times of 13.44 in the 100H and 42.33 in the 300H. Congratulations on an amazing high school career Elletta!🔥

Today, on the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, we commemorate and honor the sacrifices of our troops who made the ultimate sacrifice on the beaches of Normandy. May their heroism not be forgotten.

Burnett Dairy Cooperative will be hosting a Dairy Day on 6/19 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 11631 State Rd 70 in Grantsburg!

Attendance is free, vendors and food trucks will be available on site.

Last Thursday I had the opportunity to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony for Viola Solar, the first utility-scale solar installation in Burnett County! This development will reduce reliance on volatile energy markets and increase power capacity during peak demand times. This installation can handle the power needs of the Hertel and Viola Lake communities.

Wisconsin uses six times as much power as is generated in the state, and solar serves as a practical intermediate source while nuclear energy advancements are underway.

June is National Dairy Month! Wisconsin has approximately 5,000 dairy farms, 1.27 million cows, and is responsible for 1/4 of all cheese produced in the United States!
