Last week, I attended the National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) in Kentucky, where policymakers and industry experts came together to discuss insurance regulation and develop model legislation.
Insurance plays a vital role in managing risk. I look forward to bringing ideas back to Wisconsin to strengthen our insurance market.

Our trails need help šæ

Recent flooding has caused significant damage across the Baird Creek Greenway. We are already seeing erosion at the entrance of McAuliffe Park and additional erosion along the paved trail leading to the main bridge. We are still working to access other areas of the trail system to fully assess the extent of the damage.
If you are able, please consider making a donation at www.BairdCreek.org/DonateNow to support these restoration efforts so we can move forward as quickly as possible. Our goal is to complete repairs before our summer programming begins in late May.
Thank you for your continued support of the Baird Creek Preservation Foundation, and to the small army of volunteers who help ensure Baird Creek can be enjoyed by all.

You might see me around your neighborhood soon.
Now that itās warming up, Iāve been getting out and knocking on doors to hear directly from people about whatās on their mind.
If I catch you, Iād be glad to chat.
Itās simple: voters should choose their representatives, not the other way around.
Today in Madison, my Democratic colleagues and I showed up ready to vote on a constitutional amendment to ban partisan gerrymandering in Wisconsin. Republican leaders refused to take it up.
Wisconsin can - and should - do better, because fair maps are key to maintaining our democracy.

Last night, I attended Literacy Green Bayās trivia event.
Their programs help adults and families develop essential literacy, language, and workforce skills so they can succeed at work and fully participate in community life.
I am grateful for the staff, volunteers, and learners who are expanding opportunity across our region!

Thank you to Jeff Mirkes of Downtown Green Bay for taking the time to give me a tour of the Nova Apartments construction site. This new development will provide much-needed housing for our community and help meet the growing demand.
I share the concerns many residents have about housing affordability. In Brown County, home prices have increased nearly 60 percent over the past five years, making it harder for families to buy homes and for renters to get by.
More housing eases market pressure, expands options for families, and makes homes and rentals more affordable for everyone.
