SHOP CLOSED — After 9 years, my small handmade shop is officially closed.

I am so incredibly grateful for all the love and support malyMADE has received over the years. Running a handmade business was exhausting but so rewarding. I’ll never forget this experience, nor the many lessons I learned along the way.

I’d love for you to stick around and see what I get up to next. These days, my world revolves around being a new mom to my sweet 8-month-old son. Lately, I’ve been eyeing quilting and sewing projects to make for him, and I look forward to sharing pieces of that journey with you.

I’m excited for this new chapter as I rediscover joy, creativity, and parts of myself through the lens of motherhood.

Inspired by spring, I made a macrame xauv-inspired wall hanging with floral "kib" tassels. Younger me would be obsessed since I always secretly wanted to wear the xauv with the prettiest floral kib pendants!

A new macrame bag for spring 🌿🌸

Thinking this might make a cute brunch bag ☕🥐...or maybe a date night bag? I decided to add a chain strap instead of making one so that it transitions effortlessly from day to night. Still debating if I want to make a drawstring insert or keep as-is.

My first macrame project after two years.

Not gonna lie—I had to review old notes and study photos of my previous works to remember how to make one of these. I felt so rusty and struggled to connect different design/pattern ideas, but I think it turned out beautifully. My husband even said, "You still got it!" which was very reassuring! 😊

After years of making xauv-inspired wall hangings, I've never kept a double-hooped piece for myself, so I'm excited to finally hang one in my own home!

I actually finished it last week but haven't had a chance to take photos and share them. This one has a bit of everything I love in a macrame hanging—SO fitting for LOVE month! ❤️
