through moments that tested your strength,
through valleys that asked more of you

You have never been defined by what happened to you,

As a mother, you have given our daughter
the priceless gift of your presence.
You have comforted fears of a growing life,
celebrated victories both great and small,
and taught her, not merely with words,
but through the example of your life,
what kindness, resilience, and faith look like.

Selah will always know she is deeply loved
because she has been raised by you.

And then there is us.

Of all the paths your life could have taken,
of all the possibilities before you,
you chose me.

You chose to trust me with your heart,
to build a life beside me,

and to share in dreams that neither of us
could have reached alone.

The day you said yes to me
was one of the greatest gifts I have ever received.

but because I knew I found someone who would love me through it all.

you have been my companion,

On your 45th birthday,
I want you to know how deeply you are cherished.

For the battles you fought and overcame.
For the mother you are.

Oh my goodness… I just learned about passing. I literally just met him this past Saturday, and was so moved and inspired by him! I was looking forward to building a relationship with him. 

I am sending my deepest condolences and love to his friends and family.

It’s truly amazing how a person can have such a positive impact on your life from one meeting.
