On behalf of National Women’s History Month, these are photos of my great grandparents wedding in 1930. I truly believe that I have a love for weddings because of these photos that hung on my great grandmas farmhouse wall. When I was young I was truly mesmerized by these beautiful pictures and all of the details in them, from the fashion to the florals! I say I have an old vintage soul because of her! She was truly the matriarch of our family and had a sense for fashion. Her life was not easy, she lived through the deep depression and to say because of that she has a hoarder would be an understatement. I would be lying if I didn’t say that she passed that down to my grandma, mother and I! I also think it’s why I love old junk, antiques and treasures. So many of those things remind me of her! And she once told me that I reminded me of her and that is a big compliment that I will cherish forever! On behalf of my great grandma and the rest of the amazing women that came before us, cheers to you all and thank you for all of the hard work you paved in history for us women today!
