Due to the recent increase of COVID 19 cases within our community, we have made the decision to update this upcoming event to self-guided activities for families to enjoy at their own leisure.

There will still be plenty to do! Come out to Middle River Park in Machias, on the afternoon of Friday October 1st or the weekend following for some exciting family friendly activities! We are decorating the Story Trail in honor of the fall season and the trail will feature Halloween books highlighting adventures in Maine!

There will be decorated photo booths on the preserve, where families are encouraged to take silly, wacky, or cute photos! If you send those photos to [email protected] or tag MachiasRiverGeneral & DowneastCoastalConservancy on facebook or instagram your family could win a prize!

Finally, you can collect some fall leaves to take home and make a nature craft while supplies last! Join Bluebird Ranch Family Restaurant and Helen's Restaurant of Machias for some delicious dinner specials and enjoy coloring fun festive fall coloring pages!

We look forward to seeing your self-guided adventure photos this year and are excited to celebrate next year with a bigger in-person event!
