Hopefully you all know how appreciative I am of your support in opening this tattoo studio. I could not do this without my beautiful community at my side and I never want to sound ungrateful or mean. 99.9% of my interactions there are perfect and fruitful.
That said, there are a few things I want to reiterate about the shop.

⭐️Fridays and Saturdays are days that I take walk-ins. I very rarely will book appointments for these days because I’d like everyone to have a chance at walking in and having something small done if they want to without the hassle of booking an appointment. I tend to do only small or simple pieces on these days. Large pieces can be done with specific appointments. I work by appointment only on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

⭐️Walk-ins mean that customers are served on a first come, first served basis. If you’ve reached out to me with an idea and choose not to make an appointment but instead opt to come during walk-ins, you are not guaranteed a spot to have your work done that day. I’m sorry to make you wait, but I am the only one in the shop and I’m doing the best that I can.

⭐️Children are not legally allowed in the shop while I am working. You must be 18 years or older to be in the shop during operation hours. If you don’t have a sitter or your spouse isn’t around to care for your kids, please consider making an appointment and planning around it to have a tattoo done rather than trying to walk in. I cannot and will not put the list of people I have waiting on hold while you find
childcare.

⭐️The legal age to be tattooed in the state of Maine is 18 years old and up. This is not up for debate.

⭐️My shop minimum is $100 and every hour after that is an additional $100. This is also not up for debate. I run a tattoo parlor, not a pawn shop.

⭐️”Walk-ins” are self-explanatory. If you message me during the days I take walk-ins to ask for a quote on a piece or if I have the time to do it, I likely will not answer as I am busy working. Please WALK IN and ask any and all questions you might have so I can get you squared away.

I had a great day with one of my besties making these masterpieces happen. Aside from tattooing, we had some great food, full laughs, and went out to scour the big city of Machias for some Christmas decor for the shop. 🎄🎅🏻✨🎁 A perfect Friday.

A little onesie that I had made for my brand new nephew, Bronson. 🥹🖤 He’s a peanut and won’t fit into it for a while yet but I had to show it off because it’s just too cute! 🖤

Today I got to hang out with one of what I call my “music friends”. 🎶🖤
My “music friends” are people who I have befriended through the beautiful live music scene we have here in Washington County, (and even beyond that sometimes).
I met Art in Eastport years ago while following my husband around to one of his many gigs and we have been friendly ever since. It was nice to hang out with him this morning and I was honored to be asked to do this linework piece for him in honor of his sweet pup that he and his wife lost earlier this year.

Hey everyone! Things have been crazy over here on my end for a minute but that’s okay, it keeps me on my toes! My books are still open for a few appointment spots left in November & December and I will be taking walk-ins tomorrow from 12 noon on. Fridays and Saturdays are always open for walk-ins unless otherwise specified. ⚡️🖤

Today I spent some time in the shop with a handful of my family members who decided to walk in and get some work done. I am the eldest of ten children but I got to see “The Bigs” today, (the “big kids” of the family)!
Two of my brothers live hours away in other parts of Maine but each made the trip Downeast to get some ink and my mother also opted to come in and have a tattoo done. The third brother that was present was fresh out of DECH because his beautiful wife had their first BABY yesterday! I am an auntie to the most perfect baby boy that ever lived!!!! 🥹🖤⚡️ Congratulations to Riley and Joelle!

On a separate note, here’s a gnome I did today for one of my brothers and the piece above it I touched up. I gave him that one years ago. Thanks for looking! See you tomorrow!

I’ve been working on this piece for my dear friend Aura for a while now. Aura is a mother, a wife, a homesteader, an outstanding photographer, and she is currently putting everything she’s got into becoming the world’s most amazing midwife.

This piece may look a little rough or odd to you and it’s because it’s not finished. I don’t often advertise unfinished work, (for obvious reasons), but this tattoo is special because every time Aura comes in for a session, she has her talented daughter, Praise, draw the next portion of this linework garden onto her with a surgical marker right before she comes in - and then I tattoo it! How sweet and unique is that!

Here are some knuckle tattoos I did this morning for a recent graduate of the ARISE Addiction Recovery program. Neil is so kind and easy to get along with! We had a great time knocking these out together and actually, Neil’s happy disposition turned my rough morning right around! ❤️‍🩹 He has been on quite a journey and I’m very proud of him!

I will be closing the shop earlier than I had advertised for today. I’m sorry to anyone that may inconvenience but don’t worry, I’ll be hosting more walk-in days per week through the winter. 😇

Today is my wedding anniversary so I thought I’d introduce my sweet husband, Kelly. 🎉💍

Kelly is the Old Pier maintenance man/property manager and my biggest supporter in this adventure of opening a tattoo parlor. If it weren’t for Kelly, Old Pier would still be only a dream and not a reality. If you’re hanging out in the shop, you might see him duck in and out while he’s working on making our building the best it can be!

I should mention that I do have a lovely little waiting room with comfy seating, a restroom, coffee, cold bevs, comic books, regular books, music, and nice big windows for people-watching in the event that you arrive and there is a wait time.

Machias is looking absolutely divine and so colorful right now and the temperature is perfect, so you can take a stroll and check out the surrounding businesses and parks around town if that strikes your fancy instead! 🍁🍂🖤

As I posted last week, I haven’t been feeling super well and that has led to me having to move appointments around and reschedule appointments that I did not feel well enough to take last week.

I would appreciate everyone’s patience with me as I have been resting and trying to get better so that I don’t miss anymore days in the shop. I will be sitting down with my calendar and getting everyone squared away tomorrow. Thank-you for understanding. 🖤✨

This mother and daughter duo was so much fun to work with today! I tattooed a lot of very fine folks for walk-ins but these beauties were my final pieces before I closed up shop.

They wanted matching tattoos and picked out a beautiful lotus flower together. This was Mama’s first ever tattoo!!!! She was nervous about it but I think we all shed some tears after she kicked this tattoo’s ass and finally got the artwork she’d wanted with her daughter for a long time. Hugs all around!!! I am so proud of her and her beautiful daughter!!! 🖤

I say it all the time to clients but you are more than a client when you give me the honor of participating in the intimate and special moments that come with tattooing. Tattoos are for EVERYONE and so is Old Pier.

I had a fabulous Saturday morning with Martina and Katie doing these adorable bff tattoos. They are a little shiny and red in the photos but they will be extra precious when they heal.

Started out the day with these stunningly beautiful, HILARIOUS twin sisters. You know the company is good when you have to stop working because you’re laughing too hard!
